Language Use: Seriously endangered as a result of the encroaching role of Sudanese Arabic [apd] (Dimmendaal and Voeltz 2007). 100% also use Tima [tms]. Used as L2 by Tima [tms].

Writing System: Unwritten

Nation of Origin: Sudan

Other Comments: Though classified as a Kordofanian language (Greenberg 1963), Tima appears to constitute a linguistic isolate together with Katla , (Dimmendaal and Voeltz 2007).
